About the Role
Key ResponsibilitiesCode Assignment: Review radiologist reports to assign accurate codes for diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, Mammography) and interventional procedures (biopsies, angiography, drainages). Documentation Audit: Analyze medical records for completeness and identify deficiencies or missing information. Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all codes are sequenced correctly according to government and insurance regulations to minimize claim denials. HIPAA Adherence: Maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
- Coding Systems: In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, and radiology-specific procedural nuances.
